The aim of this meeting is to provide a forum to present and discuss recent research developments in the broad field of Bioinformatics.

The meeting follows a series of Spanish Bioinformatics Conferences (Jornadas de Bioinformatica). In 2009 the conference is co-organized by the Spanish and Portuguese Bioinformatics Networks, with the objective of strengthening the cooperation links between researchers in the two countries. The Program Committee seeks contributions (poster and oral) in the following areas:

- Algorithms for computational biology
- Sequence analysis, phylogenetics and evolution
- Structural bioinformatics
- Analysis of high throughput data
- Systems biology
- Information systems for computational biology
- Tools and technologies for computational biology

- Deadline for submission of papers: July 15th, 2009 *
- Notification of acceptance: September 12th, 2009
- Deadline for submission of final paper and registration: September 27th, 2009
- Registration deadline: September 27th, 2009

* A different (later) deadline will be used for Poster submissions.
